Everything that I know about photography, I want to share with you

Hi, I’m Daniel.

I started photographing weddings as a teen while studying photography in art school—balancing both the creative and entrepreneurial sides of the craft. Nearly two decades later, I’ve combined that experience into a passion for sharing everything from shooting and editing to client interactions and marketing. I’m so glad you’re here.

You’re driving in the car, and About You from The 1975 comes on, you turn up the volume, roll the windows down. You’re supposed to go to bed, but you keep replaying scenes from that movie you just saw in the theater. You’re on a walk, but this time with no earbuds in, because the piece of art you stumbled across online has shifted your view on the world. You just showed the key ingredient to making art.

The ability to feel something. The ability to be human.

And if the only thing that’s ever stopped you from trying to make art, is not knowing the technique, that can be taught. Because you already have the most important part, your unique perspective on life. Now all that’s left is to get it out into the universe.

  • '“Daniel’s film course was so informative from start to end. This course is great for both beginners and people who already shoot film that want to go more in-depth on “the reasoning” behind on film actually works. I went through this whole course urging to keep watching because Daniel’s ability to explain information is interactive and engaging. This is what sets Daniel’s course apart from lots of other courses. He sets it up like a classroom where he teaches it like we are there in person with drawings of graphics and numbers that explains how film interacts with your camera. He breaks down the exposure triangle that makes sense with film photography. I gained more knowledge on what it actually means by “1 stop or 2 stops” as well as using reflective and incidental metering methods. I love how Daniel shows his hand on with a couples shoot as he explains it on the spot. There is so much information in this course that you will be prepared for your next session! I am so excited to put it to use! I now feel more confident to film and knowing the results instead of hoping it turns out the way I’ve hoped. If you’re wanting to learn to shoot film then THIS IS THE FILM COURSE YOU NEED”

  • “Daniel delivers on value and most importantly trust. His teaching style makes all the information digestible and understandable. He always has a genuine care for you learning the process. Not just simply memorizing. I’ve yet to miss out on one of his workshops or education, because of the trust that he’s built with his students. I know that each time I will learn something pivotal for my craft and for my business.”

  • “Taking Daniel’s film course truly changed my film game in the best way.

Going back to the foundations with him helped me see everything in a new light and truly deepen my understanding of film. He has such a gift for teaching in a way that actually sticks, especially when it came to really understanding the exposure meter and confidently shooting manually.

It was honestly a dream to learn from him, and I left feeling so much more confident and equipped. I can’t recommend his course enough.”

  • “I’ve been practicing film photography for several years, and what I really appreciated about your course is how clearly, thoroughly, and calmly you revisit the fundamentals. Even with prior experience, it offers valuable reminders and a strong structure that helps reinforce core knowledge.

Your teaching approach truly makes a difference: you come across as calm, positive, and highly knowledgeable, which makes learning both enjoyable and motivating. Your expertise is evident, but so is your genuine pleasure in sharing it.

Following you in real shooting situations is extremely instructive, especially when you openly show how you approach more challenging scenarios. Seeing your process in action makes the theory come alive and immediately practical.

This is a course I would confidently recommend to anyone who wants to start film photography, even with no prior knowledge — but also to those, like me, who want to revisit the fundamentals with a fresh perspective.

Thank you again for creating such a high-quality course.

    All the best from France,”

  • “I walked away from my mentorship from Daniel completely transformed. It’s cliche but it’s true; no sentences I form can adequately describe the impact of learning from him. He identified my strengths and highlighted them with encouragement, and he approached my weaknesses with constructive direction. I knew that Daniel wanted me to learn and thrive. I walked away with knowledge, hope, and a new type of excitement for this craft. He’s incredibly knowledgeable, made me feel seen and comfortable, met me where I was at, offered depths of wisdom, and major bonus: he’s a truly kind and fun human. Because of Daniel’s wisdom, my wedding photography will never be the same, in all the best ways. To learn from Daniel was a gift.”

  • “Daniel’s film photography course is the rare kind that meets you exactly where you are whether you’re a novice who wants direction, or a seasoned photographer who feels stuck creatively. I fall into the latter category. As creatives, many of us have learned from personal experience, and don’t always know what we don’t know. I’ve stifled my progress through the fear of failure as film is not an inexpensive medium, and approaching it felt daunting at times. As someone busy with two careers, it is challenging for me to dedicate ample time to go out and shoot, then further analyze my scans and determine not only what I could improve, but HOW. This is a process that can take years [and a lot of money] to perfect. Now enter Daniel’s film photography course. Daniel answers the questions we have in a way that only someone with many years of trial and error can, and condenses it into a very thorough, yet easily comprehensive, manner. There were many “aha” moments in his course, and many perspectives I hadn’t considered with my approach. It unlocked what I felt like was hindering my proficiency of film. As someone who is a visual learner and needs to deeply understand the “why” for any methodology, I feel really happy that I invested in his course. I can tell this was a true labor of love from him and his team, and I’m so grateful that it has given me the confidence I need to wholeheartedly embrace film and enhance the documentation of my client’s stories.”
